What does Platinum Financial Group do?
We’re an independent retirement and wealth planning firm in Tampa, Florida. We help families, business owners, and retirees turn savings into dependable income and build plans around their goals — with a particular focus on the years leading into and through retirement.
Who do you typically work with?
We work with individuals and families across the country — especially those approaching or already in retirement — as well as business owners who want help managing a company retirement plan. Our planning can include your whole family tree, since the well-being of your parents and children is part of your own financial picture.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. Your initial consultation is free and carries no obligation. It’s simply a conversation about your situation and goals, so we can both decide whether we’re a good fit to work together.
How do I get started?
The easiest way is to schedule a free consultation or call us at 813-428-7189. We can meet in person, by phone, or by Zoom — whichever is most convenient for you.
Can we meet remotely, or only in person?
Both. We’re based in Tampa and happy to meet at our office, but we also serve clients fully by phone and by Zoom. Many clients mix and match depending on what’s convenient that week.
Our approach
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. We’re an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and CFP®-led team, held to a standard of putting your interests first when we provide advisory services.
What does it mean that you’re “independent”?
It means our advice isn’t steered by sales quotas or a single company’s products. We work from an open platform of investment and insurance options and recommend what we believe is the best fit for you in a competitive marketplace.
What areas can you help with?
Do you provide tax or legal advice?
No. We don’t provide tax or legal advice. We do coordinate closely with your CPA, attorney, and other professionals so the tax and legal pieces of your plan work together — and we’re glad to collaborate with the advisors you already trust.
Do you manage retirement plans for businesses?
Yes. We design and manage corporate retirement plans, including 401(k)s, with fiduciary support and an employee financial-wellness component. You can learn more on our Corporate 401(k) page.
Accounts & logistics
Where are my investments actually held?
Securities and investment advisory services are offered through Osaic Wealth, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC. Osaic Wealth is a separately owned entity. You can review our background anytime on FINRA’s BrokerCheck.
How do I log in to view my accounts?
You can reach your account portals from our Client Logins page, which links to Vision2020 OneView, Wealthscape Investor, and eQuipt. If you’re unsure which one to use, just reach out and we’ll point you to the right place.
What states do you serve?
We’re registered to offer securities in Florida, Virginia, California, and New Jersey, and licensed to sell insurance in Florida, Virginia, and Texas. No offers may be made or accepted from residents outside those states.
What is the financial wellness program?
